Child Safety & Protection Policy

Child safety is not a side note for Zubby. This policy outlines the standards, expectations, and reporting approach we want to follow as we grow.

Our approach to child safety

Zubby is being built around a simple promise: children should be able to learn in safer, familiar community spaces with clearer visibility for parents. We want trust, transparency, and accountability to be part of every program we help families discover.

Because we operate in residential societies, safety planning also includes clear venue expectations, parent communication, practical supervision norms, and a preference for common or accessible areas rather than isolated private settings.

Trainer and partner expectations

We expect trainers and program partners to behave professionally, communicate respectfully, and create learning environments that are appropriate for children. Programs listed through Zubby should avoid harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or exploitative behavior of any kind.

As we expand onboarding, we intend to include trust checks, operating standards, escalation paths, and regular reinforcement of child-first conduct expectations.

Parent visibility and participation

Parents should know who is teaching, where the session is taking place, and what the class format looks like before enrolling. We encourage open communication so families feel comfortable raising safety questions early rather than after a concern escalates.

Where a program requires a specific drop-off, pick-up, supervision, or parent-presence pattern, that expectation should be made visible before the batch begins. Sessions should be run in spaces where society staff and parents can reasonably understand the setting and access norms.

Reporting concerns

If a parent, guardian, society representative, or trainer sees behavior that may put a child at risk, they should report it immediately to Zubby at hello@zubby.in. Urgent threats to a child’s safety should always be reported to local authorities first.

We take safety complaints seriously and may pause listings, restrict participation, or request further information while a concern is being reviewed.
